Should You Tour the Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam?

Have you recently planned a trip to the West Coast?  Or are you an international tourist looking to go sightseeing? The West Coast has beautiful sights to see and once people land they end up renting a car to drive from Los Angeles, to Las Vegas, then over to Arizona and more.  Spend your time wisely and be sure to check out things like the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, Hollywood Boulevard, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley and more! Traveling across the West Coast can be similar to Disney World, because you just can’t do it all in one day.

So you have come all this way just to realize it is day 4 out of your 5 day vacation.  You spent too much time on your Los Angeles part of the trip awing and drooling over the numerous celebrities that have their hand prints on the solid cement ground.  One hundred fifty photos later you realized you accidentally spent the whole day there instead of half of the day.  And originally you were going to see both the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon, but now you are reluctantly forced to choose.

The Hoover Dam offers history at its best. If you are looking for a more informative stop then choose to go to the Hoover Dam.  6 and a half million tons of concrete can be found in the finished product of the Hoover Dam.  The Hoover Dam was created in order to control the powerful energy source of the Colorado River and Lake Mead.  Most of the energy is allocated to southern California, Nevada, and Arizona.  Without the Hoover Dam, many of these dry states would be without the vital water their large cities need to survive.  There really is nothing out there like it and discount Hoover Dam tours may just make your trip worth it.

The Grand Canyon could be a place you have that epiphany you have been waiting for.  If you are in a bad place right now, whether it be work wise, because of your family or you just need to find yourself, then the Grand Canyon is a place to do it.  And if you cannot get there then at least try to have a moment at the Red Rock Canyon, because these are two places known for fresh air and purity.  It could be just what you need to refresh and revitalize your life.  Consider a Grand Canyon helicopter flights, they could be exactly what you need right now!

Either way you decide to go, you cannot do wrong. It just really depends on whether you are looking for a healthy dose of nature or a more structured view of history.  Enjoy your vacation and give your heart what it desires.
