Outdoor Things to do with Kids in Las Vegas

Trying to find things to do with the kids in Las Vegas may seem challenging, but there are actually a ton of great options for fun family activities. Skip the casinos and the bars, and spend the day with your kids enjoying some of these great Las Vegas attractions.
Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
For an exotic park experience, head over to Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat located at 3400 Las Vegas Boulevard South. It’s open every day from 10:00am-6:30pm, and you’ll get to experience the Dolphin Habitat, aquarium and Secret Garden on your visit.
The Dolphin Habitat is a huge pool with a viewing window above and under it, allowing visitors to watch the dolphins swim. You can even join the “trainer for a day” program to help train the dolphins for the day.
The aquarium allows you to see exotic fish right in the lobby. You can see the aquarium from the Mirage if you are staying there or passing through the casino.
Finally, The Secret Garden is a beautiful area with Indian and Asian décor where you get to see rare white lions and white tigers, leopards, golden tigers, black panthers and other rare animals.
Lion Habitat Ranch
Animal lovers will also love the Lion Habitat Ranch in Las Vegas. Take the kids to see over 40 lions and cubs in their sanctuary. These lions used to work in the MGM Grand Lion Habitat and now reside at this 8.5 acre ranch. You can enjoy a private tour for a better view or join one of the tours. They also have an option to learn how to feed, bathe and train the lions.
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
Over at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is the Shark Reef attraction. This is a huge aquarium with sharks, jellyfish, turtles, crocodiles and more. You can walk through the glass tunnels while a wide array of sea life swim around you.
Lake Mead
For a recreational experience, go to Lake Mead Recreation Area to enjoy fishing, canoeing, swimming, kayaking and boating.
Flamingo Wildlife Habitat Las Vegas Park
For no cost, you can go to the Flamingo Hotel and see their wildlife habitat. The habitat contains flamingos, swans, ducks and other birds, and there is also a beautiful waterfall there.
Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Las Vegas Park
At the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, you can find the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Las Vegas Park. There is no charge to get in and you can enjoy tons of floral displays, the Dancing Fountains attraction, bridges and gazebos.
