To find an affordable Grand Canyon tour from Las Vegas, compare the complete itinerary and the total cost for your group. Start with the experience you want: views from the air, time exploring the rim, or a helicopter landing on the canyon floor. Then compare tours that deliver that experience on your travel date.
GC Flight offers Grand Canyon airplane tours and Grand Canyon helicopter tours from Las Vegas with different itineraries and inclusions. Use the guide below to decide what matters to you and which costs to check before booking.
What is the cheapest Grand Canyon tour from Las Vegas?
There is no single answer that fits every date, group and itinerary. A sightseeing flight, a landing tour and a ground trip provide different experiences. Compare quotes for the same travel date and number of guests, then include any transportation, admission or upgrades you would need.
If aerial views are your priority, start by comparing air-only airplane and helicopter tours. If time on the ground is essential, compare landing itineraries. When comparing a flight with a ground tour or a self-drive visit, calculate the full cost for your party, including transport and any required admissions. A per-person fare and a whole-car travel budget need to be compared on the same basis.
Choose the experience before comparing the fare
| What you want | Options to compare | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Grand Canyon views from the air | Air-only airplane and helicopter tours | Flight route, time in the air, departure airport and transportation. Air-only tours do not include a canyon landing. |
| A helicopter landing below the rim | Canyon-floor landing tours | Ground time and the inclusions of the specific itinerary. |
| Time exploring Grand Canyon West | West Rim landing tours by airplane or helicopter | Time at the rim, viewpoint access, transportation on site and whether Skywalk admission is included. |
| A South Rim visit from the Las Vegas area | An itinerary that includes the journey to the South Rim | The starting airport, ground touring and return travel. A local South Rim helicopter flight alone does not include transportation from Las Vegas. |
A floor landing and a rim landing are different experiences. A floor-landing helicopter itinerary takes you below the rim; a rim-landing itinerary provides time at Grand Canyon West’s rim attractions. Choose the experience you want before paying for additional activities or combining multiple landings.
Compare the total cost, including pickup and admission
Use these checks when comparing your shortlisted tours:
- Total for your group: use the same number of guests and travel date for each quote, and review the full amount before submitting your booking.
- Transportation to the departure point: check whether a shuttle or pickup is included, which locations it serves, or whether you must arrange your own transport.
- Admissions and upgrades: check what the selected itinerary includes. Skywalk admission is not automatic with every West Rim landing.
- Meals and additional activities: include the cost of any extras you intend to purchase.
- Time commitment: compare the complete outing, including check-in, transfers and ground time, rather than flight time alone.
- Booking terms: review the cancellation and change terms for the tour you select.
Use the current prices and date options on the tour pages. If your schedule is flexible, compare other available departure times or dates before choosing. Avoid assuming that a particular weekday or departure time will always cost less.
Make sure the tour starts where you need it to
A Las Vegas-area tour may depart from a terminal outside the Strip. For example, the Grand Canyon West airplane sightseeing flight departs from Boulder City, with shuttle service from selected Las Vegas-area pickup locations. Check the exact pickup and departure arrangements for your chosen tour.
Also distinguish a trip from Las Vegas from a flight that starts at the Grand Canyon. Our local South Rim helicopter tours depart from Grand Canyon National Park Airport in Arizona and do not include transportation from Las Vegas. If you are staying in Las Vegas, compare an itinerary that includes that journey, or account for the cost and time of getting to Arizona yourself.
Frequently asked questions
Are airplane tours always cheaper than helicopter tours?
No. Compare the current fare for the specific itinerary and date. An air-only flight and a package with a landing or ground activities are different products, even if both use the same type of aircraft.
Does a Grand Canyon landing include the Skywalk?
Not automatically. Check the itinerary for explicit Skywalk admission. A canyon-floor landing is also different from visiting the Skywalk at the rim. Our helicopter tour comparison includes separate floor, rim and Skywalk options.
Is hotel pickup included with every tour?
Transportation varies by tour. Some options include shuttle service from selected pickup locations; others require you to make your own way to the terminal. Check the selected tour’s transportation section and your booking confirmation.
