Are you an adventurous eater? When you travel abroad, are you open to tasting the local delicacies? What if that delicacy could paralyze or kill you in an instant if the chef didn’t prepare it correctly?  Perhaps that last sentence has made you a little less brave, but if it hasn’t deterred you, you must try Fugu, aka Pufferfish. Pufferfish are poisonous and one wrong slip of the knife in the fish’s liver can release the deadly excretions and can be fatal if consumed.  The worst part? There is no known antidote. If you’re still feeling adventurous (like jumping on helicopter tours), try it out since it’s in many cooked forms. But fair warning: be prepared to fork over a nice chunk of change as Fugu is a rather pricy dish.
