Full Day Kayak Adventure

This exhilarating 12-mile guided kayak adventure begins at the base of the Hoover Dam.  It is a one-way trip down the river with 5-6 stops and ending at Willow Beach.  Your first stop is at a naturally occurring 100-degree hot springs pool where you can relax before heading to the next destination.  Other areas to explore include Sauna Cave, Emerald Cave, River Gauging Station and the Colorado River Outlook.  Your knowledgeable guide will point out the many historical artifacts along the way.  Keep your eyes out for animals you may come across, including the legendary Big Horn Sheep.

Duration:
  • Tour Duration: Approximately 9-10 hours (with pick-up and drop-off)
  • Kayak Duration: 6-7 hours on water, 12 miles distance
  • Departure Time: 7:00am (hotel pick-up 5:00-5:30am)

Adventure Includes:
  • Round-trip Transportation from the Las Vegas Strip in a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter.
  • Guests are picked up from their hotel approximately 1.5-2 hours PRIOR to tour time.
  • All necessary kayaking equipment, such as kayak, paddles, and personal flotation device.
  • Bottled water, snacks, and a sandwich for lunch are provided.
Important Information:
  • This is a permitted tour so there is limited availability.  It is strongly recommended to book in advance!
  • Athletic Ability: Moderate to Difficult.  A long day of kayaking requires stamina.  Kayak experience is required.
  • This is a one-way excursion.  Utilizing complimentary round-trip transportation is highly recommended.
  • Government Issued I.D. is required for this tour.
  • Children 14 years and older are recommended for this tour.  Children 14-15 should pair with an adult in a tandem kayak.  Children 16 and up are ok in a single kayak, if desired.
  • Closed toe shoes or sneakers you do not mind getting wet are recommended.  Dress according to the weather.  During warmer months, you will have the opportunity to swim.
  • It is recommended to wear a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
  • You can store personal belongings in your kayak hatches; however, they may get wet.  It is recommended to use some type of waterproof protection.
