Each guest will also enjoy barbecue lunch prepared by members of the Hualapai Tribe or guests can have a complimentary box lunch (vegetarian option available) on the rim of the Grand Canyon.

After lunch, guests will have a chance to walk along the world-famous Grand Canyon Skywalk. “Good option”
    Reviewed October 13, 2013
We recently visited the Grand Canyon West and Skywalk due to the government shutdown at the Grand Canyon National Park. This is a very good option if the NP continues to be closed. A few things to consider to help in your planning: 1. take lots of money. Cash is king. The day we were there the credit card machine was broken. They still took credit cards but they were doing it by hand, so if you had cash, you got to jump the line. 2. The road is under construction and there are 10-11 miles which are not paved. 3. The food is not great, but there is nowhere else to eat. 4. The skywalk is cool, but the building attached is not complete. Hopefully, they put all the money they spent into the safety of the skywalk. 5. You must park your car and take the shuttle bus to each site.

The views of the Grand canyon West may not be as spectacular as in the Grand Canyon Nation Park, but they are pretty close. The skywalk sounds scarier than it is. I have been on other glass floor structures such as the Toronto Tower. The tower was scarier since there is perspective on how high you really are. Since you are looking down at rock, you really don’t get a sense of how high your are above the ground. You are not allowed to take a camera or cell phone onto the skywalk. There is a professional photographer that will take pictures of you one the skywalk. Prices start at $30 for one photo.

Make sure you stop at all three sites as the views of the Canyon are quite different.

Although I have vertigo, i just had to experience this amazing walk over the Grand Canyon, so it took a little courage but I made aroud the ring and even managed to pause a couple of times to look out to the very best view of the Grand. Easily compares to helicopter views. Reggie UK

    “Skywalk Not to Be MIssed!”
    Reviewed February 3, 2014
My 10 year old daughter and myself took this day trip to the Grand Canyon Western Rim from Las Vegas while my husband was at a conference (he didn’t want to see the Canyon). It was a 3 hour trip there but several stops along the way. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and provided a boxed breakfast (apple, muffin, orange juice, crackers). We stopped at Eagle Point and went on the Skywalk which really was an amazing experience. We wore booties and couldn’t take extras or our own pictures (they provide free lockers). However, highly recommend having them take lots of pictures of you and purchasing the flash drive, which contains extra stunning pictures they’ve professionally taken at other times of the skywalk for your use, i.e. rainbows, lightning shots, etc. The lunch provided on this tour at Guano Point was very good. And the views for us first timers were stunning. Highly, highly recommend this trip. We stopped by the Joshua Tree forest on the way back for quick photos and returned to Las Vegas by 4 p.m. We really didn’t need much more time than that and were able to enjoy another evening in Las Vegas.
